From a Single Truck to a family legacy
The Custom Plumbing Story
Founded by Jim Hollabaugh in 1986, Custom Plumbing began as a one-man operation with a single service vehicle. Today, it stands as a testament to hard work, dedication, and integrity.
Over the years, Jim’s daughter, Sherri Wilson, joined the company, earning a plumbing contractor’s license in 2000. With Jim, his brother, and his daughter by his side, the business flourished, experiencing growth even through difficult economic times. While Jim enjoys “semi” retirement, he will always be an integral part of the company which remains a family affair, with a wealth of experience passed down through generations.
According to Hollabaugh, he had no secret business plan to accomplish what his competitors seemingly could not; only a drive to learn about the newest technologies in the industry and serve a growing number of customers, yet never stray from his No. 1 overriding concern: —“One customer. One job. One focus.” His plan worked.
Today, at Custom Plumbing we service residential and commercial customers, many of whom come to us to handle their complex needs, including eco-friendly plumbing, elaborate commercial construction, and large luxury estates with homeowners whose concerns range from privacy to purification. No matter the scope of the work, however—from replacing a simple home fixture to plumbing an entire new residential development or commercial building—none of our customers would ever know that we service anyone but them. That’s why they continue to return time after time, decade after decade.
As Sherri Wilson took the reins, the focus has remained on providing unparalleled service to customers, as well as creating a company atmosphere that employees are proud to represent. Sherri’s decades of knowledge and hands-on experience gives her the unique ability to elevate Custom Plumbing to new heights.
